Study Circles

Study circles are regular gatherings of people interested in an in-depth and systematic study of the Baha'i Writings. The purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of the Holy Word, to comprehend its meanings and to find ways to apply the Word to our lives through spiritual transformation and service to humanity.

The frequency and duration of each study circle are set by the group, and a facilitator serves to maintain the focus and pace. Every participant in the group also makes a commitment to action or service.

An important and valuable element of the Ruhi study circles is the practice of memorizing passages from the Baha'i writings. To assist in this process, one Ruhi participant developed an interactive game called I Memorize, which includes all of the passages included in the Ruhi books. For example, quote #14 from Ruhi Book 1: "Be not content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path." Abdu'l-Baha, Paris Talks pg. 16

Study circles are not restricted to Baha'is; anyone may attend. To find a study circle near you, please fill out the Request Information form or call 1-800-22-UNITE.
